If you`re a successful sales person in the interactive advertising arena a go-getter with energy, drive and ambition, and cold calling doesn’t scare you and you love all things food and drink, have we got the job for you!
Behind the Burner—a new online culinary new media brand—seeks energetic, entrepreneurial driven sales professional, with 3+ advertising sales experience (minimum 2 years in the digital space). The bottom line: You are tasked with growing the business. We offer clients fully integrated programs (online, broadcast, events, newsletter) and the candidate must sell pro-actively across all of Behind the Burner’s brand assets. Sales Director will ideally have experience selling the culinary and/or lifestyle categories.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining and developing profitable business from existing relationships as well as breaking new business
- Developing sales cycle from RFP/proposal submission through closing business
- Managing variety sales platforms (including branded editorial integration, sponsorships, site ads, digital sales and product placement)
- Manage projects from sales through delivery
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 3 years of sales experience, managing top accounts that generated significant revenue
- CPC/sponsored links sales experience a plus
- Hands-on experience and successful track record of sales and knowledge of new media
-Strong account development, customer service and follow-up skills
- Driven, self-starter who is able to execute and deliver with minimal supervision, ability to make cold calls and meet quotas.
- Sharp business sense, resourceful. Able to motivate innovation and creativity.
- College degree
- Passion for food and beverages
